Hi Everyone,

I am currently apparently in contract with BT until December. I am moving house soon and the house i moving has a problem on line, BT want £124 to look at it, to transfer the phone over. I cannot afford that so i am trying to cancel it. If they bill me the different on the contract (up to December 2008) does this form part of my bankruptcy. I can't afford it. Thanks

Hi

I would call the OR and let them know about the contract and they may include it for you as it was potentially owed prior to the bankruptcy

thanks John

They are saying it's a standard charge for lines that havent been in use for a while.

Hi
it's probably too late for you to include the contract fees up until Dec within your BR.
I'm surprised BT want anything to transfer over, it cost me nothing and I've moved twice in the past year. Although it's reasonable for them to charge for someone to come out and look at the new, faulty line. Either way you're stuck with either the transfer & repair charge, or the balance of the contract.
