Hi, i have been threatened with being taken to court and made bankrupt. This is from one of five creditors that I have. I am paying the others a monthly sum agreed between us and have been doing so for 6 years. Should I stop payments and file for bankruptcy myself?, or when this one creditor makes me bankrupt will it apply to the others as well. I rent my accomodation, have a car worth £150 - 200 and no valuable assets. I also find that my outgoings outweigh my income. I married 8 weeks ago, my wife has not worked since moving in with me last July due to a stressful divorce and 3 weeks was diagnosed with cancer and will not be able to work in the forseeable future. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you. Cowan

Hi Cowan and welcome to the forum.

BR is certainly a viable option for you. How much is owed to each creditor?
