Hi, I was declared bankrupt in December 2011 and discharged December 2012. All debts cleared.
This morning I received a letter from, Robinson Way LTD (Hoist Portfolio Holding LTD) informing me that they were now managing my account as to C. L Finance (Lewis Group) and that I should continue payment of £3.00 per month to them.
I phoned R. Way this morning to inform them of my situation and was informed that C.L Finance did not show a Bankruptcy order on this account. The guy then asked me to forward proof of my bankruptcy.
Should I contact the OR and inform him of this or send proof of Bankruptcy to R. Way?
Any idea as to what has gone on?
A little confused not to mention worried!
Brad.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

What a nuisance! Unfortunately this can happen when debts are sold on.

Firstly I would send proof to them that you were bankrupt and tell them to stop hassling you as the debt is now cleared and they should not be doing this.

You could also try speaking to the OR to see if he/she is able to assist.

Don't worry though - they cannot chase you for this debt.

Hi, as Niobe has said, this happens a lot! Just send proof, you'll find that they don't contact you again.
