My wife was forced into bankruptcy in 2009, and was missold PPI by Barclay's and confirmed by them from July2000. Even though she paid the premiums herself each month they are paying the official received the money missold, is this right and legal???.

Hi, yes this is correct, any PPI compensation etc relating from before the bankruptcy date will go to the official receiver.
