Posted - 26 February 2008 : 22:39:05 Hi,
I will very shortly (about a month) be making myself bankrupt; my question is this...
I am hoping to move to the USA, the woman I love very much is there & we intend to get married in the USA & spend our life together there; this is all due to take place some time later this year with my eventual move in around a year from now; will declaring myself bankrupt in the UK mean I am unable to fulfill my dream of spending he rest of my life with the woman I love; will the immigration & naturalization service say "wait a minute, you're a bad risk" etc?
Hope my question wasn't a dumb one!
Many thanks for your help.

I am not aware of a problem with moving to the US but to confirm this from the horses mouth i would recomend calling the US immigration dept - contact details on their web www.uscis.gov/
