Hi;
Queit scare I'm with the hudge mess that I'
have made in the last few month.
I used to live in U.K.(Scotland)for the last 8 years.
In 2005 I began a very good job wich made me make very good money, but in 2007 i lost this job with horrible consequences for my finances. I used to be a very good customer for my bank and now my creditors(the bank) havent hore from me for olmost 4 0 5 month.
I left U.K because I was so insolvent and lack of cash that the only way was to move abroad with the "ilusion"that the time could cancel everything, but i presume that the worst is still to come.
Is very dificult to get in touch with any organisation, even with the citycen Advice center that they could deal with my creditors.
Living abroad and out from the E.U countrys will afect me in any, equal or similar way as I gould live in U.K ?
My debts are a loan from £10.000 and overdraft from£1000 an other from £9.000,olso a credit card debt from £2.500 and a balance transfert from£1.500(this one from another bank).
Total of debts, without counting any interest on them, are £24.000.
uneforder, imposible and far from the reality to have the chance to pay anythig just now.
How can I get help from and deal with bankruptcy or maybe an I.V.A or maybe something that could stop it and try to start from fresh again?

Can you advice me please.

Thank you very mutch.

I would second that

If you can give us a little more information then we can come up with the options available to you.

Obviously an IVA is possible even if you live abroad, but it does rely on your disposable income.

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi There,

Before I can give the best advice I would need further information on your current earnings and expenditure. was is you currrent income? and after your outgoings what disposable income do you have?
Where are you living at the moment? and how long have you been there?

All of these answers would factor towards what advice I can give as to your best course of action.
You say you lived in Scotland how long have you been away? The law in scotland is different to England, so the timescales are very important.
If you have not lived in scotland for more than 4 - 5 Months then you can be dealt with under the English insolvency laws.
You do not have to be resident in England to declare yourself Bankrupct, so this might be the ideal option for you, but I would need to know more about what assets you own.

I hope this helps

Brett
