Is the Council Tax yet from this year or last they normally write off older council tax debts?
If the debt is recent then talk to the council explain what you are doing and see if you can structure any arrears over future payments.
As far as an Income Payment Order or Agreement is concerned this would depend on your expenditure and any disposable income after this expenditure is calculated there is a great guide to income in expenditure on the forum if you go to the forum home page and look at income payment orders this will tell you everything you need to know.

Posted - 24 March 2008 : 12:18:16 WE ARE CLOSE TO OUR BR APPOINTMENT BUT NEED SOME MORE QUESTIONS ANSWERED. 1.WE ARE SERIOUSLY IN ARREARS WITH COUNCIL TAX AND HOUSING OVERPAYMENTS. DO THEY WIPE THOSE DEBTS OFF AS WELL AS THE OTHERS? 2.WE ARE BOTH WORKING,IM PART TIME MY HUSBAND FULL TIME. OUR MONTHLY INCOME IS AROUND 1400-1500 P.M.. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON IPO? MANY THANKS. |

The funds are held in trust for your son and do not vest in the Trustee in bankruptcy. |
