Posted - 25 March 2008 : 20:22:40 Hi, I whent bankrupt in June 2006 and discharged 12months later. Today I recieved a letter from a debt collection firm asking for repayment of a debt that was part of the Bankruptcy. The letter is asking me to contact the firm, what should I tell them? Contact them or send them a letter, list your bankruptcy Number and county court in which you were declared Bankrupt. Give the name and contact details of the examiner who dealt with you and the address of the OR's office dealing with your case.
They can then contact the OR and confirm your situation.

Tell them politely that you have been discharged from this debt, and that if they have any further queries to contact the Official Recievers office who dealt with yoru case.
