Posted - 29 March 2008 : 12:26:22 My wife owes over £12000 in debts mainly via catalogues. One of her catalogues is taking her to court over the balance of one of accounts. I have a small business, will the resulting action from the court affect me or the business in any way.

Posted - 29 March 2008 : 16:31:11 Has she thought about seeking some help to negotiate with the creditor concerned? Paul Johns of Reviva who regularly posts on this forum is used to doing this and has a good success rate.

Posted - 29 March 2008 : 15:14:20 She has fallen behind on them all and as wrote to them all with offers, it just seems that the one taking her to court is ignoring these and want the full balance of the account or is taking the next step.

It is unlikely to affect your business, so long as the business does not rely upon finding new sources of credit, as your wife's credit rating may affect your own.
Can your wife afford to make any form of offer to this company, to avoid being taken to Court?
