Posted - 16 February 2007 : 12:19:04 I currently have approx £50k in debts and have made arrangements with the individual lenders for reduced repayments. At some point in the future I will be moving to the USA with my wife (she is starting a job there) and I will have no income for some time. Have also considered bankruptcy but do not know if that would have any impact on the US visa application, or if it flags my passport in any way ?
Any help/advice much appreciated.

Posted - 17 February 2007 : 16:32:25 Interesting question Lee, I get the feeling you want to sort your debt out before you emigrate? It's all about timing, can your wife continue to pay your debts while in the U.S.A. ?
It wont flag on your passport and they stopped deporting people to Australia a while back!
