Posted - 05 October 2008 : 01:12:40 Hi I came to know that my creditor requested the OR to look into my assets as they are not happy with IPA. my Q should I be informed by the OR in these cases to know how the creditors react? My real concern is as a BR, I thought the OR function is inform and communicate such issues between me andt he creditors . any comments appreciated Abd

The OR does not have a duty to inform you if a creditor files a complaint and requests an investigation. However, the sure fire way to tell is if the OR pulls you in for another meeting addressing specific points.

I am not sure how that works. I know the OR deals with our creditors but unlike an IVA where all deals are negotiated differently for pay back terms etc i thought the OR just told them what they had worked our income out to be and they had to accept it, as for if we here about it i would not know as the OR will now be the one taking our place and so our knowledge of what is going on would be limited.
Maybe someone else has more answers but that how i seem to view it.
