As a serving HMAF member, are you sure that you want to go bankrupt? I am ex-Army myself, so have a good understanding of the rules and regulations which surround insolvency in the forces, coupled with a knowledge of how damaging this can be to career progression. Do you plan to stay in for the duration?

Welcome to the forum,
I take it your in a debt management plan with Churchwood?
is the creditor taking the £850 part of this plan?
I should talk to your chain of command, before looking at Bankruptcy as although finances are private this is based on the premise that you remain solvent.
Their are alternatives that you could look into may I suggest you have a chat with Melanie Giles who regularly posts on this site she and her team can discuss your options in greater detail with you.
you can find a link to her web site through the experts page.
