Posted - 05 April 2008 : 12:05:29 I am currently bankrupt, (ad is aug 08), my question is; my daughter is in the forces and is having a high priority check as she may have to handle top secret documents etc, i have had to provide name, age, address on the form, though they do not ask for any of my financial history, could my bankrupcy stop her getting her security clearance, and would she be told of my bankrupcy. Thank you

Posted - 05 April 2008 : 12:44:30 Hi Alyson and welcome to the forum
When I was in the forces I held the same level of security vetting as your daughter due to the particular job I was doing. The vetting procedure is very thorough, and she will need to provide a lot of her own financial details to the vetting officer, but gladly this does not extend to your financial affairs.
For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com |
