Hi there and welcome to the forum

I suggest you wait for the Debt Relief Order system to be introduced which is hopefully going through parliament at the moment. This will enable you to get discharged from your debts, under a system very similar to bankruptcy, but will not involve paying a fee. Certainly worth the wait in your case.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
