Posted - 10 April 2008 : 20:28:10 I have a car and personalized number plate worth about 4 thousand pounds, these were presents from my late father and are my only assets.The number plate especially has huge sentimental value and is the only reason I am unsure of bankruptcy.I am currently in my 1st year of an IVA. Also do the courts or official reciever look into any current or savings account.

Your number plate would be seen as an asset that could be sold have you had it valued recently?
When Bankruptcy is declared the Bankruptcy is advertised in the London Gazette and stubbs Gazette, these are monitored by the financial institutions, if you have a balance in a savings account that you have not declared the likelihood is on the adverts being placed these accounts would be frozen by the bank or building society they are held with and they would inform the OR of the balance.
