Posted - 07 May 2008 : 22:15:25 I had my OR interview last week and she was very nice, she said that as I had some extra income I would have to pay £200 a month on an IPA which I am happy with.
I currently have a compensation claim ongoing at court and possibly will get around £4000 from it, if I do and I get it during my BR does the OR take it all just a percentage and also if I get it after the BR ends but still during my IPA do they still take some of it.
I dont mind if they do after all I do owe people money so it would only be fair I just wanted to clarify it.

Posted - 09 May 2008 : 17:56:59 Dear Shylock It depends on what the claim is made up of. The compensation for physical injury is personal to you, and that is excluded from a claim by the official receiver. But if a chunck of the claim is for loss of income or profits (if you were a trader) then this element is potentially up for grabs. Regards Simon Atkins Licensed Insolvency Practitioner |
