Posted - 09 May 2008 : 00:02:34 Hello my husband has been advised to go Bankrupt, he has had these debts prior to our marriage which i had no knowledge of will i be involved in his bankruptcy and are my possesions liable to be taken? We have a 12 month old baby and im so worried.

Posted - 09 May 2008 : 02:04:36 You husband's bankruptcy is unlikely to affect you unless you own a property which has equity in it. Your credit file is likely to be affected however, and there is no real way of avoiding this.
