I was under the impression that when you went bankrupt you didn't have to pay money to the court but I am having to pay £150 per month for 3 years which I'm really finding a struggle....

Hi sandra

in Br the debts are written of but you may be required to make a contribution towards the costs of br and the debts out of your disposable income.

If you are paying 150 it is likely that the OR has calculated you have 250 disposable income after your esential cost of living has been paid.

If you feel this is unfaie then the first course of action is to call the OR and discuss it over the phonbe. It will help if you can see what you wrote down in your statement of affairs so you can quickly see the variance.
