What does the OR actually investigate? Do they check with DWP that you are getting the right benefits etc or do they just look at your debts, I&E. I forgot to put down an old savings account on my form should I just tell the OR at the interview will this look bad on me. I also have had my name taken off the joint account I had with ex so did't put this down on form was this right or wrong.

Hi Tess,

They investigate how you got into debt, how much you owe and to whom, what this was spent on and what assets you have.

It is not their responsibility to check you are receiving the correct benefits.

Let them know of this account and explain that you forgot about this.

As your name is not on the joint account any more this is not a problem as they were not a creditor.

Kind Regards,
