This is quite a grey area with no definitive answer. The OR is likely to give you as much time as you need (within reason), but I would suggest keeping them in the loop as and when things develop.
this depends upon the Official receivers office and how busy they are. I have clients who went Br last September and are only now having the BI purchased by a family member.
In reality the third party has a little time to sort it out and get the money together
