Yes - apparently it does - the fee for their service is £600, and then there is the court filing fees of £507 on top of that.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Cheapet than coming back to the UK.

Hi Dazed and Confused,

Almost certainly the £600 will be on top of the court fee.

Hi Dazed & Confused

the process is fairly straightforward - apart from all the information required to complete the forms etc one needs a lasting power of atorney so that you can be represented at the High court in London.

You would however still need to be available for a telephone discussion with the OR at some point afterwards - time zone permitting

With regard charges, £600 to do a full BR whilst you are abroad does actually seem very reasonable.

I think the £600 is on top of the standard £495 charged for BR...that still seemed pretty reasonable to me though...

I have heard that Myvesta offer a Bankrupt from abroad service for £600 - has anyone used this?

Is it straightforward?

Is £600 a reasonable amount to charge?

Hi Dazed and Confused,

I would sugegst there will certainly be a charge for this kind of service, but the amount would depend entirely on who you engage to do it.

Is there usually a charge for this service?

Hi blues and welcome to the forum.

Are you a UK citizen living abroad? If so, this can be done for you under a Power of Attorney.
