I have received a letter today from Clearstart following my BR last month - wonder if you can shed some light on it!
It's a general letter to me with copies of letters sent to my court, registrar of IVAs and to my creditors....but not to the OR??
It appears they met on 14th May and Clearstart declared a first and final dividend of 4p in the £. I paid £8,106 in the two years of my IVA out of which my creditors got £2748. (So they did see some of my money after all!!)
The thing that I am querying is that there were no votes for the petition of my BR at that meeting.
Is this because I have petitioned for my own BR?
Or... have they finally seen sense and realised I am skint and accepted 4p in the £!!!!
I think I know what your answer will be!

Hi Vicki,

With a BR on your credit record, I really wouldn't be too bothered about default dates as the BR wipes everything out. The good news is that it'll all be gone off your record in 6 years anyway!

Thanks Julian - I hope my creditors are kicking themselves for rejecting a lump sum of £25k!

I have noticed some of my them have already updated my experian credit record with a new default date - what date should be recorded for each creditor - my BR date? They are all different so far.

Thanks again

Hi Vicki,

I would ignore it. As you have petitioned for your own BR, the creditors have no say/vote in the process. all they can do is talk to the OR regarding any monies due to them from asset disposal (if any).
