I already have a cashminder account with the co-op (following advice from the cccs) so im hoping this will not be closed once i go bankrupt(hopefully on the 12th june) Do i have to inform the bank im due to go br or just wait?

Also do i tell my creditors im going BR when they ring me? which they do about 4 times a day!

Thanks everyone, im really addicted to this site!!
Reading about everyone's problems is really helping me calm down over the whole process x

Hi Cat,

The day after I went BR, I sat and phoned all my creditors. Some requested I fax them a copy of my Bankruptcy Order, but most just made a note of my refernce and waited to hear from the OR. It is likely they'll keep phoning until you go
BR, so grin and bear it as it'll soon be over!

Hi Cat

I went BR last week, and I have a Cashminder account with the Co-op. As the account is for people with poor credit history and bankrupts they will let you keep the account open. Also the Official Receiver is happy with this account to remain open.

I told my creditors about going BR a few hours after going to court because you then have a bankruptcy number you can give them, and they can also check on the court website. You could tell them of your intentions but i am sure they will still carry on ringing you until you officially go BR
