Posted - 17 June 2008 : 10:31:12 I am single I have put in quite a high food allowance as Food/Housekeeping/Meals at work/toiletries @ £240.00. Reason this is so high is that I have a stomach complaint on going for the past 10 years or so and I have had surgery and seen specialists in London, the only way I can control it without keep going to the doctor and popping bills is through a special diet which don't come cheap. Would I be best being prepared to have a Doctors letter included in my form under Section 13 Extra Information or just wait to see if he asks for it. I have put in Extra Info all the details and that it includes supplements and work meals as I have to make my own.
Has anyone one else come accross this situation?

Posted - 17 June 2008 : 11:49:24 Hi Sueann,
The amount you have been quoted seems fine. There should be no need for a Doctors letter. However, if the OR does query the amount (unlikely), you can get a letter from your GP to back this up at a later date.
