Posted - 27 June 2008 : 07:02:20 We have our OR interviews today. My husband has a one to one at the OR office this morning and mine is by telephone this afternoon. im not particularily worried just want to get it out of the way. My husband is very nervous however despite me telling him what sort of things they will ask and about the support this site has given me. Got paid today and just checked my new Co-op account....its all mine for once instead of all going straight out to pay CC's and loans. What a great feeling....I can finally do a decent food shop as we have been living off beans on toast this month due to no CC's for shopping.
If we have to make payments when are they likely to start? |

Posted - 30 June 2008 : 16:17:49 Thanks everybody. Hubbys interview took about 1 1/4 hours, mine was 20 mins on the phone with the nicest chap.
The house should be safe, we loose a car that would cost more than its worth to fix and keep our pensions but hubby keeps his motorbike and i keep my car. Pensions are safe as they are NHS ones and we canbuy back our life assurance for £50 each. no mention of IPA's but should get confirmation in post next week.
Having a great time shredding any CC bills that come in from now and had a right go at Bank of Scotland who have rung 3 x a day for the last 2 days to speak to hubby who has already told them case number etc. They are so familiar ad always ask for him by his 1 st name, ive ut in a formal complaint as each time they rung i told them what time he would be home.
Anyway.....feeling very positive and shoulders are starting to untense. My birthday tomorrow and actually feel like I might enjoy it despite it ending in a zero!! |

Posted - 27 June 2008 : 11:14:40 It took 3 months before my IPA started.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 27 June 2008 : 07:45:25 Morning tbird - best of luck to you both! You will be fine and can start to plan your debt free future as soon as this interview is out of the way. No more beans....I wouldn't want to live with my husband for a month eating just beans!! lol. IPA payments seem to take about a month to be set up - the OR gathers a lot of info, contacts creditors etc and although I don't pay an IPA others seem to have taken a good month to start paying theirs.
Good luck for later - let us know how you get on
