Posted - 11 July 2008 : 21:56:31 My partner split with his ex aprox 18 month ago, unfortunately she is still named on the mortgage but hasnt contributed financially since she left, she has now filed for bankruptcy. If there is any equity, its very little. Could my partner lose his home?

Your partner's ex partner's Trustee (gosh what a mouthful!) will want to value the level of his/her interest in the property and then realise this for the benefit of her creditiros. If the equity is minimal, could your partner make an offer to aquire her interes, which would then effectively transfer the whole property to him?
