Hi all

I called the court a couple of weeks to make the appointments for our BR petition. Does the court normally confirm this in writing because I haven't heard anything from them? I told them not to send me the forms because we are filling them in online.

Thanks!

Hi
My court which is yeovil I had to call them about 4 weeks before and check their date for the time I wanted. They gave me the confirmation verbally and just took all my details over the phone.
They did not send out any confirmation and like i have said i had it verbally.
Some courts you can turn up on the day but the one we are going to dont do that hence we made our appt before hand.
Good luck with everything keep us all informed on how it goes and keep posting your questions and worries.

Neither have I. The booking of a Court date seems to be done on a fairly informal basis, and they seem to take the view that if you don't turn up for the appointment, so be it. Remember you are the customer when it comes to filing your own bankruptcy petition!

Hi scared

there seems to be so many variations on how individual courts, and OR offices for that matter, operate but I have never had anyone tell me that the court confirmed their appointment in writing.

If you're worried just call them again to confirm.
