Query -

Me and the wife are about to move into rented accomodation - leaving our property.
The new accomodation doesnt have things like wardrobes, or a washing machine which are built in in our house (which will be getting repossessed). Are we allowed to buy these before we go BR as, well, we need them? How would the OR view this?

Thanks

Hi Darren,

If you are using this from income rather than credit then there will be no problem.

Kind Regards,

I intend to use some of the left over cash from holding back on mortgage before we move in....with my current state of play, I couldnt get credit from a loan shark!!!

They may take a very dim view if you do this with credit knowing you are going to be going bankrupt. This would be obtaining credit with no reasonable prospect of repayment.

Not a problem as they are necessities for your new home.
