Hello all

well just got off of the phone from the OR. Interview was not nearly as bad as i had imagined. i felt really sick all day, worrying about it. But it went ok.

They informed me they will not be taking my car - which is a huge relief.

They also stated there would be no ipa as my expenditure about matches my income. Now i was expecting them to go through my income with a fine toothcomb and knock some of it down. But they never mentioned each individual amount - just that income and expenditure matched. so i assume from this they just accepted all of it. so i thought i would post what i was allowed incase anyone was interested.

rent 333.00
housekeeping 250.00
gas, elect 80.00
water 30.00
telephone 55.00
travelling to and from work and other journeys 100.00
clothing 50.00
council tax 67.00
tv lic 12.00
car (insurance, tax and maintainence) 60.00
childcare 70.00
holiday 25.00
haircuts 15.00
dry cleaning 10.00
extra curriculum activities 18.00
opticians 10.00
pocket money 10.00

(1 adult and 1 child)

So i feel quite pleased. i now just have to sent off all of my statements etc.

He said i may get an BRO for the gambling but i expected i probably would.

All in all a very nice man!!!

Sounds like it was a good interview, and your expenditure looks ok, the extras don't come to more than £100 so they wouldn't have blinked.

What percentage of debt did you attribute your gambling to?

Can I just ask, what is classed as extra's?

Hi Drowning mummy

i estimated my car was worth £800 but explained that without it i could not get to work on time after dropping child to school and result in me losing job, which they said would be last thing they would want.

Glad it went well for you, makes me feel better. Do you mind me asking how much your car is worth? Mine needs some essential repairs and I'm not sure to carry these out incase I cant keep it.

Thanks Brett

Just was expecting to be torn apart but it really wasn't like that at all.

Hi Liney,

Glad it went well for you, they are in most cases very helpful and compassionate towards your problems.

As Suzanne points out the extras they may have tried to exclude would total less than £100 so there is little point in them even mentioning these.

Kind Regards,

Hi Suzanne

i stated that probably about two thirds of debt was due to gambling, so about 12000-13000.

Just so glad it is over and hope no need for any further investigation.
