Can anyone advise on this. I am struggling to raise a deposit for rented accomodation as business is pretty bad. In addition as i have joint custody of my son I have him for 10 days in August. During this time I can't work and therefore can't earn any money. I am due to go BR on the 14/08. I am now thinking to delay this into September. I am expecting repossession proceedings to commence in the next couple of weeks. does anyone know how long it takes from me being notified to getting to court? Is it about 28 days? Could it be less than that? Due to so many uncertainties I am thinking of putting some of my household belongings into storage asap. Whats the best thing to do, get the BR over with? I'm concerned that after going BR the deposit for rented accomodation will become completely unachievable as the amount sought by landlords will be so high. I see letting agents want a nice chunky fee (non returnable) to vet you. So I'm envisaging things getting quite expensive.

Lovely, there's now 10,000 on the waiting list. And I will not be getting priority until the house is being repo'd. Oh well I'll do the form and see which way the wind blows.

I'm going round there now to see if i can get any advice. According to the latest information there are 8000 (!) on the waiting list. At the moment in my area there are 5 properties available.

Hi

Why not contact the local housing officer to let them know of your position, as you may be entitled to local authority or housing association property.
