Posted - 27 July 2008 : 21:40:21 1. I have received a ccj after we have been made bankrupt. What can I do to get this over turned? 2. After the 1 year BRO how can I make my credit rating better. Obviously know that the BRO will effet but also really concerned about the CCJ.

Posted - 29 July 2008 : 21:43:28 Thanks for the advise, the CCj was after we were made bankrupt abolut 2 weeks after so possibly the OR had not informed the company. Is there anything we can do as I thought you could not get CCj after being made bankrupt. The company were part of the creditors we gave the OR. Many thanks again.

If the CCJ is for a debt incurred before the bankruptcy, then you should be able to get it removed by sending a copy of your order to the credit reference people.
When you are discharged, get a certificate of discharge from the court, it costs around £60, and send this to them also and they should record you as discharged. After 6 years from the date of the bankruptcy order your file should be clean.
