Posted - 29 July 2008 : 10:23:26 I have just received a £194 refund from my IP (just defaulted on my IVA) as overpayment of charges. I am due to go bankrupt on the 15th August, will the OR take this money?

Currently the last two payments due for my IVA has gone towards my bankruptcy costs but I am struggling because my living costs have gone up by another £200 a month so that would come in useful. As I am going bankrupt on the 15th august do I put that in the bank now then take it out when I take out my money before the OR freezes the account or do I wait and pay that into a new bank account?

If you haven't needed to spend it in the meantime. It would go some way to paying your petition costs though.
