Posted - 30 July 2008 : 09:43:36 I am a sole trader and intend to continue trading when bankrupt. Obviously when running business you need to market yourself to acquire new clients. Will I still be allowed expenditure for advertising etc when bankrupt? If you were still allowed to be self-employed when bankrupt then surely these would be part of the business running expenses.

Yes you would be allowed this as a general business expense
