Posted - 31 July 2008 : 12:49:04 hi, my oh is going bk next friday 8th aug and as the date draws nearer i find i am getting more anxious, pains in chest etc,our problems started in feb when i was made redundant,( currently going through tribunal for unfair dismissal )i did manage to get another job but salary was a lot lower than the previous one, my oh has been sick for quite a while and is currently undergoing tests at hosp, he isnt in reciept of any benefits other than a small war disability pension of £29 per week, we recieve wtc and ctc, and my stat sick pay, i have back problems and also waiting for app to see specialist doc signed me off work for a month, i am waiting to see if we can claim on our payment prot for mortgage as we have had to miss this months payment to pay for bk, does anybody know if we are in neg equity and i able to buy oh bi where we would stand with pay prot if we were able to get it,i have been reading this site now for a couple of weeks but not had the courage to post before, certainly find out who your friends are when goung through tough times they seem to avoid you like the plague unless im just being paranoid, any advice would be greatly apprd many thanks |

I don't think you buying the beneficial interest would have any effect on payment protection insurance, but to be sure you would need to speak to a financial adivsor or mortgage broker who would have more specialist knowledge.
The only way I can think it would impact is if you had to involve the lender in any way in the transaction.
