I have my interview tomorrow and I am really stressed and nervous about it, I'd like to be a little prepared. What sort of questions do they ask? any what sort of information should I have prepared and waiting.

He said it would take about an hour, is the IPA sorted then and there or do they usually come back to you with that? I have got to the point now where I just want this over and done with.

Thanks guys, mine was the same really maizie robbing Peter to pay Paul, most of my cards etc havn't been used since 2004 'cos I was on a DMP what worries me is the debt I incurred whilist on a DMP because I realisticly couldnt afford it. I provided the OR with bank statements with my SOA but in the meantime he hasn't contacted me for any other info.

Im going bankrupt on Friday and am dreading the OR interview too! I am £33,000 and I honestly cannot remember what I spent the money on, it was over a long period of time, I had a car crash and had to get another car but thats about it!

Basically I think most of money was spent on paying monthly payments then using the cards again to pay them off, getting consolidation loan then using cards again for day to day!!

Hi Sueann
Me too I have my interview tomorrow pm and just want it over and done with now and find out what we have to pay and when etc etc.
My lady seemed very nice, asked me to have my SofA with me and also asked that I send down any information like agreements statements etc so that they could clarify the information on the SofA.
I dont feel too nervous mine seemed very nice and made me feel at ease. I have however written down some questions that I would like to ask the OR tom but to be honest as long as you answer the questions to the best of your knowledge then you should be fine, your not on trial, you know.
Maybe one of the others here may be able to add somemore info on that but try not too worry, it will be fine.

sueann,

The OR interview is really not as bad as you are imagining. He / She will go through each section of your SOA's individually, they will look at your reasons for becoming insolvent and they will talk through each debt (reasons, what it was spent on etc). They will have already looked at your I&E and will have an IPA in mind if appropriate. Remember if you don't agree to the IPA it is open to discussion, my OR examiner asked me for £50 a month but in the end i didn't get one at all.

Two bits of advice:

They are only human and if you are open and cooperative with them, they will be fair with you.

Be prepared... have your copy of your SOA in front of you, go through each section yourself and write notes. Preferably draw up a time line where you can explain each debt, where the money went (within reason) and at which point your debts became unmanageble.
