Posted - 01 August 2008 : 07:44:36 Although the house is in my name, my mother pays the utility bills and her name is on the bills. should I keep my moms names on the bills or change them to my name now before going bankrupt. My worry is that when filling in the SOA should I say that I pay the bills even though my moms name is on them (will the OR want proof of the bills).Am I ultimately responsible for all the household bills if the house is in my name?.

Posted - 01 August 2008 : 08:46:14 Hi debtrider You should list all of the utility bills on your SoA as they are household expenditure. In section 6 it asks if there are other contributions to the household. The amount your mother contributes should be included there. If your mother also lives with you then she should be listed as an occupant in section 10.
