Posted - 04 August 2008 : 12:34:33 Hi vacs as the ownership of the car is not with the bankrupt party, the decision to sell it or not is entirely your husbands and when, or if, he does so will not be affected one way or the other by your BR.

Posted - 04 August 2008 : 12:20:07 Hi and thanks for welcoming me to the forum regarding this car we purchased it on our old mortgage 3 years ago as we had some collateral. we have sinse moved to devon and purchased a new house with a new mortgage but because of credit crunch we had our house valued and it is now only worth of our exsisting mortgage.Would my husband be better off selling it now before I go bankrupt |

Hi vacs & welcome to the forum the V5 being in your name is not proof of ownership. Providing the payment can be proven to have come from your husband or if the car is on finance and it is financed in your husband's sole name (his name only on the finance agreement), then all is well.
