Posted - 05 August 2008 : 19:20:01 i have been trying to sve the fees for bankruptcy for the last 3months with no success am still strugling just to survive and with school hols now here i am now trying to keep my 14yr son feed(he normally has school meals)and entertained as well as trying to find money for new uniform,books,etc i was addvised to speak to the cab as they may know of places who may make a charitable grant for the fees,unfortunatly they do not know of anywhere to apply does anybody have any ideas,i am getting lots of calls/letters with threats of legal action not sure what they can do as i live on benefits but all the calls are causeing me lots of strees which makes my depression worse, i do not know where to turn please help |

I know that if you are a customer of British Gas they have a charitable foundation with which Bankruptcy fees are included.

Posted - 06 August 2008 : 10:16:53 Hi eamonn unfortunately if CAB can't help I wouldn't know what to suggest re the fee's for your BR other than to suggest you wait until one of your creditors petitions for your BR instead of you. The downside of course is that could take quite a time.In the meantime it's possible that debt collectors etc will be calling at your door and certainly the letters and calls will continue. It may not help much but if you've absolutely no means of finding the fee, let alone paying creditors, consider changing your phone numbers asap. Letters are, at least, a little easier to deal with.
