Posted - 06 August 2008 : 22:38:29 Hi ians you may be asked to suspend your personal contributions to the fund for the period of your BR to free up DI for a possible IVA. If the OR doesn't mention it then great. But if the contributions were suspended, I think the contributions are only suspended until your discharge. So at that time you would have to revise your I&E.

Posted - 06 August 2008 : 22:25:26 Hi John,
Sorry to butt in, but what would happen to my teacher pension contributions during BR? Yet another thing we haven't thought of!
Thanks,

Posted - 06 August 2008 : 22:22:43 Hi jenny Suzanne would probably know the technicalities of how the OR would view an army pension due to start paying out in 11 years. My view is that, broadly speaking, an inland revenue approved pension fund, which I'm sure his is, is safe. If he were contributing at this time that could be an issue (the contributions that is).
