I have a question that I could really do with an answer to.
My boyfriend currently lives with his parents. I live with my 2 children and have 1 on the way. My boyfriend and I are getting to a point where he needs to move in with us and we both want this to happen ASAP, before I go bankrupt probably.
The question is that I had been advised by the CAB that I wouldn't be expected to make payments to any of my creditors as I am on benefits. However if my boyfriend does move in I will come off benefits and we will have to rely on his income. So will his income be assessed to calculate any repayments to my creditors.
This doesn't seem right as the debts are purely mine from before I even met my boyfriend.

In BR, it is only your partner's CONTRIBUTION to the household expenditure that is considered, not his total income.
