Posted - 12 August 2008 : 15:53:55 hi, we have just finished with our or interview and all went well not at all as bad as we thought it would be.We dont have to pay an ipo and the questions about the debts with cards and loans we answered honestly and the or was very nice and understood how we got into the situation. The only thing we cant have is our mobile phone contract but am not worried about that.So we are pleased that it went well and would advise anyone that its not that bad. hope yours has gone well too

Posted - 12 August 2008 : 12:25:57 Good luck both of you! You will be fine just be honest abut everything and the OR will totally understand you just did what all of us have done on here and "Surived" My OR was fine about everything including my partner's gamling habit, because he aditted to it and said he'd learned his lesson and wasnt going to do it anymore! He didn't get a BRO/BRU for that so normal consolidation debts etc are perfectly acceptable! They are human and they arn't out to hang you just to ascertain the reasons for the debt.

Posted - 12 August 2008 : 08:36:07 Hi
You are not going to get a BRO/BRU for just consolidating your debts, only if you obtained the credit with no reasonable prospect of repayment. You shouldn't worry about explaining it as it is how most people get into this debt situation, it kind of spirals out of control.
Meash
A BRO/BRU is a Bankruptcy Restriction Order or Bankruptcy Restriction Undertaking. The OR uses this to increase the time a bankrupt is bound by the restrictions of the bankruptcy and was designed to protect the public/creditor for an extended period because of the bankrupts misconduct in some way.
