Hello,

Just wanted to know if anyone could help me.

I went bankrupt in Nov 07 and due to be automatically discharged in Nov 08, but.....my OR has sent me a letter which he has sent to my creditors and the court....

It basically says that he no longer has any interest in my case, and that i do not have any assets etc, but then it says that this does not affect my status as an undischarged bankrupt....

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks

Hi those people and places can get on your nerves.
Oh well thats what we have to expect as we are there for all to see for whatever time we are in the register.
Good luck with your discharge. Bet you cant wait now and I expect its all gone really quick.
Take care

Thanks for all your advice John...

Wondering if you could help again or anyone else...

I received a letter through the post from a Solicitors, saying that they have heard I am going for an IPA at the moment and can they help me with it....

Is this just junk mail, and they have got my name from the Insolvency register or something?

I went Bankrupt (didnt have an IVA) in Nov 07, due to be discharged in Nov 08.

Thanks, anyone else had this type of thing happen to them?

Hi
looking at the date of your discharge again I tend to think that early discharge may not be an option but that the letter went out to advise the parties concerned that the OR has finished with your file.
If this is the case you will not see another I&E.

Re your comments on IPA, you can't be 100% sure that an IPA won't happen until you've been discharged.
The OR can even apply for a delay of discharge if he were working on putting an IPA in place although at this stage in your case this would only likely happen if you were to inform the OR of a change of circumstances that gives you more disposable income.

So would this mean that I would get another I and E to fill in?

And if I had excess money I would have to enter into an IPA....even though I should be automatically discharged in 2 and a half months anyway, surely if i was to enter into an IPA it would have happened by now?

Thanks

Hi
it would seem this may be a preliminary letter to the creditors and the court to see if there is any objection to you being offered an early discharge and the OR has copied you in.
