Can anyone help me, as any of you applied for a barclays basic cashcard account, if so how long did it take to open as i need to open it before i go to court and coop is no good as they dont have a branch in scarborough |

Hi sarah M,
I went BR on the 4th a Monday, I openedd the COOP account that day, received letter confirming bank number on the Friday 8th, got cards Sat 9th and PIN Numbers Friday 15th.
So it was all done in about 10 or 11 days. I have access on line and can see it when I want.

Thanks i hope its quicker than that like i said before to court on 1st sept and was hoping to have it all sorted by then |

The Co-op normally take about 2 weeks. I think it's worth waiting for as in my opinion it's a better account than Barclays as you get internet banking and a debit card.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

People who have opened coop cashminder accounts was it open straight away and how long did take for stuff to come though |

i was told barclays would take 10-12 days, so i phoned today and there is nothing on the system so they told me to go back to branch, they seem to be slow but i need an account soon as i go to court on 1st sept, so going to open coop cashminder account tommorrow, lets hope theirs is sooner. |

Hi,
I applied for Barclays cash card account last week and they said it would take 3 weeks. I hoping it will be sooner.

you can use the internet and the post office for all of your co op banking. |
