You don't get a student loan from a bank; you get it from the Student Loan Company. The term "Student Loan" has a very specific meaning and does not mean the same thing as "a loan taken out by a student"!

Sorry but this isn't the case. Student loans are not credit scored and are able to be taken out by bankrupts. Many people go back into education after declaring bankruptcy and the OR has no problem with this.

Thanks John,
I was not 100% sure on all of that one, I hope that my other advice was correct.

Hi Allan and welcome,
Im not 100% sure but I dont think it will. It would be down to your university which I think to be honest it wont affect you.
I want to go back to my nurse training one day and as a BR I was not sure if I could get back onto it but I think you will find that you should be ok with that one as its not a criminal thing. So as such it will not be on a CRB check.
I think I have this right, if not I dare say someone will correct me, but hang in there and please keep posting.
best regards
JO
