Hi again...
I read the paragraph below on www.insolvency.gov.uk..

The Official Receiver is also responsible for looking into your financial affairs for the period before and during your bankruptcy. He or she may report to the court and has to report to your creditors. The Official Receiver must also report any matters which indicate that you may have committed criminal offences in connection with your bankruptcy or that your behaviour has been dishonest or you have been in some way to blame for your bankruptcy.

What sort of criminal offences or behaviour do you think fall under this?

I am worried because even though I was struggling and cash advancing on my credit cards in April/May for living expenses, I ordered some stuff from Littlewoods in the beginning of this month. As of last month, all of my bills were paid up it wasnt until end of this month I am now a month behind. Do you think the OR will perceive this as being bad behaviour because I ordered this stuff? It was just a few clothes for work and a few other bits. It was around £500 in total.

It wasn't until last week that I made the decision to file BR because I know I am on a downward spiral and have NO extra money at all and are negative at the end of each month.

Any views or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Caro,

The main criminal offence the OR would be interested in is fraud. Unless you "disappeared" several thousand pounds the day before your BR, or took out loans/credit agreements and made no payments back whatsoever, you should be fine!
