Posted - 30 August 2008 : 14:41:50 Hi i just had to start a new topic as im well chuffed. Sad i know but i wrote to the PM and also my local mp about my CSA debt that we are paying. It came about as hubby and i married in 1992, had our eldest then divorced in 1995. In that time he was paying the CSA and i was on Income support, i did not get the money as such, but we got back together in 1998 and remarried. Anyhow to cut a long story short we as a family have been billed by the CSA for a debt that took them nearly 5 years to get back to us about and our local housing officer suggested we write to the PM and the MP to see if there was anything they could do as we are paying £146 pm for our own son, back to the government taking food from all our mouths. Last week i had a letter from the Houses of Commons and today a letter from 10 Downing Street on behalf of the PM himself saying that the letter I had writen has been sent on my behalf to the CSA to try and get it sorted. Sorry i just had to tell. :) Its made my day.!! Jo

Posted - 30 August 2008 : 17:25:08 Thanks Julian, I know this had nothing to do with the BR side of things i was just so happy that i had a personal letter from the PM's office. I also had the one from the Houses of Commons too from my local MP David Heath. See i know people too, you never know they may invite me on their annual holidays. Ha Ha LOL

Posted - 30 August 2008 : 14:50:01 Thanks Nat,
Hopefully at last we will get the debt either written off or partially written off as we are paying back money for our son and he is our son. That is the weird thing its not like im with someone else and my Oh is paying for a kid with another partner if you see what i mean, which is exactly what i wrote in my letter, that by taking this they are making us even poorer and i dont see why it should be like that. Anyhow i will keep you all posted. I know this is totally irrelevent to BR but i just had to say. :) JO

Posted - 30 August 2008 : 14:46:19 I hope it works out for you and the CSA actually sort it out. It's a bit sad when letters have to be sent to the PM to actually get them to listen eh?
But good on you Jo, got my fingers crossed for you |
