Posted - 04 February 2009 : 22:12:36 Had been hiding in the shadows for many months until I decided to join the forum. I felt like I had got to know all the regular posters but now there doesn't seem to be any of the old names left?? Just the 'businessy' ones.
It's a shame because that's what I really liked about this forum, good advice but friendly chit chat too.
Anyone know what's happened? |

Posted - 05 February 2009 : 22:08:37 A lot of people probably want to put their BR behind them, and therefore don't post afterwards. Then again you get the ones like me, still hanging around 2 years later!
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 05 February 2009 : 10:37:46 Hi hadenuff
I still read the forum on a regular basis and anwser any questions or worries that people may have, and I have experienced in some instances. I must admit I have not been so active on this forum this year, basically because I don't feel I can offer any advice in a lot of instances, or someone as already said what I feel.
I believe prior to bankrupcty people are very worried and need some answers to their questions, and then advice on going bankrupt and also for a period of time after like myself. So there will always be a time when you hear more from these people on a more regular basis during this period.
Once people have gone through the bankruptcy process I think they just want to move on and try and forget about this period in their lives, so you will not hear from them again which which I understand.
There will always be new names appearing as people want answers to their debt problem but I think it is more important that the experts stay on this forum and more join like Melanie. Although it is good to share experiences with others with similar problems, it is only human nature for people to move on and start a new life after bankruptcy.

Posted - 04 February 2009 : 22:30:08 Thank you very much for your kind words
Maybe, some people use the forum until they have gone br and a little while after, but then feel strong enough to take it from there - i really have no idea.
I know what you mean though, there were alot more regulars when i first joined.
Maybe they have all come into money and had their br annulled
Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)
From "Moneyworries" to "Movin On" in 3 months is fantastic :-))

Of course you were included I was just curious that was all.
You hear about alien abductions and the like............spooky
No seriously, you get to recognise all the names over time and they just don't seem to be there anymore. Oh well, hey ho.
ps. Hope the mother in law gets well very soon. |
