Posted - 15 January 2010 : 19:17:10 The OR will usually (but does not have to) wait 14 days after receiving your signed form. Ths is to allow some breathing space in case you change your mind |

Posted - 15 January 2010 : 16:39:01 You have 14 days to sign and return the form. If you don't then the OR can seek an IPO (Income Payment Order) via the court to force you to pay.
If you disagree with the IPA amount or you want a clarification of the amount then you still need to contact the OR within 14 days. |

Posted - 15 January 2010 : 15:39:49 Thanks to you both for the replies. So am I right in thinking, that it will not start as soon as the OR receives it back? I seem to recall reading somewhere that they don`t sign it and implement it straight away.

Posted - 15 January 2010 : 15:07:05 Mine was the following month. I declared BR in May 09 and had the ORs interview in the same month. I received a letter from the OR at the beginning of July informing me of the IPA. I returned the letter about a week later and then received a letter from MoonBeever within about 5 working days saying that my first payment was due the 1st Aug. |

Posted - 15 January 2010 : 14:59:34 I think it varies depending on how busy the OR's office is. Mine took a couple of months, some take longer.
I actually chased them as I knew I was getting one, and the sooner I started paying the sooner it would be over!
