Posted - 16 January 2010 : 09:25:39 Discharged and cleaning up credit file. How does this work for joint debts when there is only one bankrupt party? I have 3 joint debts that i listed on my bankruptcy petition, I'm currently discharged and filing for divorce. I don't believe my ex is paying any of the debts he is liable for. How do the accounts/records become settled? My gut feeling thinks they won't become settled until he pays them but i am hoping there is a solution...
Thanks

I was just wondering if it was worth asking the joint creditors to update my credit file information. Is this where credit file disassociation comes into play, not quite got my head around that one.
Thanks
