Posted - 23 January 2010 : 17:24:56 I am being taken to a County Court Hearing for a Breach of Contract, possibly owing £18.900.00 (if found at fault). I could make minimum payments if the court requires me, but it would be very small as I only earn £1516.00 per calander month and most of my money is on commitments which take up most of my monthly wage. My question is this: if I wanted to could I delcare myself Bankrupt if found at fault at the hearing or would the court demand I make some sort of minimum payments??? If the court makes an order for minimum payments could I after the hearing then declare myself Bankrupt or would the court not allow me to do this???

Posted - 23 January 2010 : 21:24:31 Hello Paul,
As debtinfo has said, BR is an option maybe.
I suggest a call to one of the insolvency experts that post here in the first instance over the weekend or on Monday - you will be advised as to options and take it from there.
Good luck, Richard
